Management Team
Alex Wyatt is the Chief Executive of Climate Bridge. Based in Shanghai, he is responsible for the strategic direction and business operations of the company. Alex oversees Climate Bridge's offset sourcing activities in Asia, and is also in charge of integrating the Asian and European arms of the company. Alex is passionate about helping the world at large, and China and India in particular, come to grips with the massive challenges of preventing climate change and protecting the environment. He is recognized as an expert on the voluntary carbon markets in China, and is well-respected for his understanding of the Chinese business environment.
Prior to founding ClimateBridge, Alex spent a number of years in the Shanghai office of McKinsey & Company, where he gained a great deal of China business experience, working across many different sectors of the Chinese economy. Whilst with McKinsey, he served both state-owned and multinational enterprises in China, helping them to address many of their most pressing strategic concerns. He is also an expert on the Chinese transportation sector, having undertaken a number of different projects to help optimize rail, sea and trucking networks throughout the country.
Alex has also worked for the Boston Consulting Group and Hearne Scientific Software, where he helped to start and manage a variety of new business ventures. Alex was educated at Melbourne University (BSc in Computer Science, LLB) and Oxford University (MPhil in Modern Chinese Studies, MBA) as a Rhodes Scholar.
Zemin Zhang is a director of Climate Bridge, based in Shanghai. He is responsible for coordinating the Climate Bridge's supply side activities in China and handles all the corporate finance and accounting issues as the CFO of the Company.
Zemin previously worked for London Asia Capital Plc, a UK AIM listed investment banking group, as the Investment Director for China Operations, where he oversaw and coordinated investments and exits by a number of LAC's investee companies in China. Prior to joining London Asia, he was Chief Operations Officer of Beijing Yibin Management Consulting Co., a financial management and M&A advisory firm, where he helped more than 30 clients, including Chinese publicly listed companies, to raise capital, restructure their finances and enhance financial controls. Zemin also worked for the National Audit Office of China, Carrefour and an American venture capital group.
Zemin has over 16 years experience in corporate finance and financial management in China. He is a China qualified accountant (CPA) and a member of ACCA. He obtained an MBA from Oxford University and MOC from the University of New South Wales (Australia) and an undergraduate degree from the University of Wuhan, China.
Dr Cameron Hepburn is a director of Climate Bridge, based in London and Oxford. He co-ordinates all aspects of Climate Bridge's demand-side activity in Europe. He is well-known in Europe for his expertise in climate change economics, business and policy, and he has been active in the environmental and climate change areas for almost a decade.
Cameron is also a Fellow in climate change policy and economics at Oxford University, where he teaches on the Masters programme in Environmental Change and Management. He is recognized as a thought leader in climate economics and his research has been published in numerous leading international journals.
In 2006, he wrote two background research papers to the Stern Review on the Economics of Climate Change, and Sir Nicholas Stern presented some of his central conclusions in Oxford in early 2007. Cameron is also a member of UK Defra's Academic Panel and has advised the UK government and the OECD on some of their most challenging environmental concerns. Cameron has been interviewed on BBC Radio 4 Analysis and More or less, and the World Business Review on the BBC World Service. His work has been highlighted in UK broadsheets such as the Financial Times, and he contributed to a wide-ranging review of climate change in The Economist.
Cameron previously worked for McKinsey in Australia and Europe, where he focused on logistics and starting new businesses, and Shell Australia on environmental management. Cameron holds first class degrees in law and chemical engineering from Melbourne University, and a masters and doctorate in economics from Oxford University (as a Rhodes Scholar).
BA Madhusudhan is a director of Climate Bridge India, based in Chennai. He is responsible for coordinating the Climate Bridge's supply side activities in India, helping Indian project developers to make the very most of their emission reduction projects.
Madhusudhan has experience in several kinds of industries like manufacturing, banking, retail, defense surveillance and hi-tech R&D. His entrepreneurial ventures include co-founding a company that develops entertainment and communication technologies for gated communities and a company that deals with interactive retail products. Prior to setting up his own companies, Madhusudhan has worked with Citibank, Morgan Stanley, Benchmark Vision (KLA-Tencor) and Sarnoff Corporation.
Madhusudhan was educated in computer engineering at the Madras University and at the University of Kentucky. He obtained his MBA from the Indian Institute of Management, Ahmedabad. He is currently pursuing a master's program, in applied psychology.
Sanjay Anugula is a director of Climate Bridge India, based in Chennai. He is responsible for managing Climate Bridge's relationships with project developers in India, and also oversees the strategy, operations and corporate trajectory of the Indian arm of Climate Bridge.
Sanjay has deep corporate experience in USA and Asia (India, China, Korea) having worked for large corporates such as Intel and General Motors in Finance, Product Development and Manufacturing. He recently oversaw finance for a major division and managed investments in India. He is also a co-founder of a 3D game development company in India.
Sanjay was educated in Computer Engineering at Madras University and has a Master's degree in Management from Stanford University, USA.
