Australian Climate Change Minster witnesses signing ceremony between Climate Bridge & Tianrun Investment

On October 14th 2009, the signing ceremony for wind project between Climate Bridge and Tianrun Investment took place at the China World Hotel in Beijing.

Penny Wong, the Australian national government’s Minister for Climate Change and Water, attended the signing ceremony and offered her congratulations and warm wishes for the successful cooperation between Climate Bridge and Tianrun Investment. Zhang Zemin, Director of Climate Bridge and Liu Wei, Vice General Manager of Tianrun Investment signed the contract on behalf of both sides. Also present were Geofff Raby, Australian Ambassador to China, Mark Laabs, Director of Climate Bridge, and Wang Haibo, Vice General Manager of Tianrun Investment.

The Shisanjianfang wind-solar PV project in China’s Xinjiang province signed in this ceremony will stop 120,000 tonnes of CO2 and other harmful greenhouse gases from being released. Besides, another two projects have also been signed in respective agreements. In total the 3 projects will prevent the equivalent of 330,000 tonnes of Carbon Dioxide from entering the atmosphere. Climate Bridge director Zhang Zemin expressed his belief that given both sides broad experience in their respective markets, this agreement would be a success, and that these projects would mark the start of a long and fruitful partnership between Tianrun and Climate Bridge.
